A Message from the Executive Director
Dear Friends,

The historic Supreme Court ruling on June 24th leads us to celebrate and acknowledge our gratitude to the Lord for answered prayers. This month, CPC begins to navigate operating in a post-Roe society as we continue to serve pregnant women and their families in need of medical services, advocacy, and resources that support a life choice!

These past weeks have been a stressful time for our ministry and staff. Fortunately, there have been no direct attacks on CPC, unlike other Maryland pregnancy help centers. We remain vigilant in protecting our clients, centers, and staff from threats. The changing landscape of abortion will certainly include greater demand for and access to the abortion pill. It will also increase visits to Maryland from those living in states with restrictions on abortion. CPC is poised to help these women since we already provide abortion pill reversal. This past month, one of our clients welcomed a baby boy after a successful abortion pill reversal. None of this would be possible without every single person, who supports our mission through prayer and donations of time, talent, and treasure!

Roe has ended, but the challenging work remains. CPC is committed to our mission of protecting the physical, emotional, and spiritual lives of women and their unborn children. I ask that you please continue to pray for and support us as we face the challenges ahead.

A Gummy Bear Analogy Helps a Mom Choose Life!
We recently served Keesha, who left Planned Parenthood after feeling uneasy in their waiting room. Outside, she saw our Options@328 sign and our free services. She came in and met with our advocate for an assessment, who told our sonographer, Tarren, that Keesha was abortion-minded, in tears, and feeling very anxious and sad. Once on the exam table, Keesha was quiet and unemotional. She had already had an abortion before and was unsure about continuing this pregnancy. Tarren told her that the baby was about 8 weeks old and the size of a gummy bear. Then Keesha's expression changed as she made an "aww" sound.

The sonographer continued referring to Keesha's baby as her "gummy bear," and her sadness began to fade. Our client was giggling, saying, "I can't believe you're saying it's the size of a gummy bear. I love gummy bears!" Our skilled sonographer realized that all moms bond differently with their unborn babies, and she continued to use this term, which resonated with Keesha. When Keesha left, she was still undecided about her choice, but Tarren offered her a follow-up ultrasound the next week and encouraged her to bring her family and friends. She returned the following week alone, but with the biggest smile! When they were alone in the exam room, she said, "I'm doing this! This is a life!" She was so happy and still refers to her baby as a gummy bear. She said she felt empowered and grateful for our excellent staff and for providing the information and support she needed to make her life choice.

Our Mission

The Greater Baltimore Center for Pregnancy Concerns is a locally organized and funded volunteer ministry demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ by providing abortion alternatives to women who find themselves in the midst of an unplanned pregnancy. We service clients by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We also strive to provide accurate and complete information on prenatal development and abortion. We believe access to this information is needed in order to provide our clients with the facts, allowing them to make informed decisions. Ultimately, we desire to protect the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of our clients and their unborn children. We also provide emotional support and resources to any woman who comes to us having had an abortion. We believe our ministry to these and all women is to share the love of Jesus Christ.
