Dynamic Duo
Essex Center Volunteers
|
|
Our centers could not serve moms and their kids without faithful volunteers.
Essex Center Coordinator Linda Gossman writes...
We have two wonderful ladies who volunteer at the Essex Center, Zilla Riley and Betty Fuqua. Zilla is from Trinidad and has been volunteering since 2010. Betty lives in the Hereford Zone and has been traveling all the way to the Essex Center since 2003!
They are both counselors as well as facilitators for "Earn While You Learn" . Zilla, an ordained minister, teaches a Bible Study course and Betty teaches Life Skills classes. They are both powerful warriors for the Lord and the Pro-Life movement. Both are loved by all their clients and I am so thankful for their service.
A BIG HEARTFELT THANKS FROM CPC TO THESE TWO REMARKABLE WOMEN!!!!

CPC attended a wonderful brunch at
Faith Fellowship Church
on Saturday, March 23rd. The event was an opportunity for CPC to reach out into the community and cultivate new friendships. Our Executive Director Carol Clews and volunteer Sandy Salvo enjoyed the morning, especially the amazingly delicious brunch fare.
Our thanks to Faith Fellowship for supporting CPC and don't miss the opportunity to attend the Quarter Auction on April 13th. Details below!

CPC is so grateful to the staff of
Maryland Physicians Care
in Linthicum Heights. They are a managed care organization that administers services to Medicaid recipients who are part of MD HealthChoice.
Our relationship started last December when Chris Gormley, Case Managment Supervisor, contacted our Hot Line. At their next staff meeting we introduced the services of CPC and the Case Managers began referring their moms to us.
But that's not all! They generously sponsored a Christmas Baby Bottle Campaign as well as gifting us with diapers and clothes. Since then MD Physicians Care has been making regular donations. It's the perfect match, they have the moms, CPC has the resources. We can't thank you enough!
Big hugs to Chris Gormley for coordinating the efforts!

We are soliciting design specifications and proposals, along with preliminary pricing, from contractors for completing the center. This information will be used by the architect to finalize the plans and to apply for the building permits needed to commence work.
Pray for Howard St.!!

UNPLANNED
--still time to see this life-changing movie!!!
|
|
On Thursday night March 28th the Republican Women of Baltimore County hosted a premier of the much anticipated movie
UNPLANNED
at the Regal theaters in Hunt Valley. Carol Clews (CPC's Executive Director), Gretchen Carney (Development Director) and Joan Mattes (St. Ann's Center Coordinator) along with a theater FULL of Pro-Life supporters attended the premier. What our moms tell us of their experiences at Planned Parenthood validates everything we saw.
There are still opportunities to view this important movie that exposes the lies and atrocities of Planned Parenthood! Other theaters in our area will be showing the movie but only through this week. Find the time to see it. Become an informed Pro-Life advocate. A link is attached below to locate the theater nearest you.

The latest about UNPLANNED--great news!!
Despite a media blackout, a ‘R’ rating designed to discourage viewers and little coverage outside conservative media circles, the new movie “Unplanned” opened in 5th place this past weekend and it will expand to even more theaters next weekend.
