Dear Sisters, Associates and Partners in Ministry,

Our Chapter theme, "Behold, I Am Doing Something New...Listen!" has called us all to be attentive and to prayerfully reflect on life and on what God is calling forth in us and in our world. This prayerful, reflective posture is truly what is needed as we face the day-to-day challenges of the COVID-19 crisis. Yet, we are people of faith and deep conviction that God's goodness and love will prevail.

We are writing to let you know that our Chapter Planning Committee has met via Zoom and has made the recommendation, and we as leadership concur, that all scheduled upcoming Assemblies and the General Chapter, scheduled for July 26 to August 2, be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Going forward, the Chapter Planning Committee and our Chapter Facilitator, Connie Gilder SSJ will meet on a monthly basis via Zoom to keep connected as a committee and to assess the continuing developments of COVID-19 to determine when we will be able to resume the planning process for the Assemblies and for the Chapter.

If you have made airline reservations for this July, we ask that you please cancel them and hold the credit for future use when the Chapter is rescheduled.

We are especially grateful for the work of the Chapter Planning Committee and our facilitator. We are confident of their attentiveness and continued guidance for Chapter planning as we move forward in these challenging times.

Let us continue to be united in our thoughts and prayers for one another, for our families, for all whose lives have been personally touched by this pandemic. Let us especially pray in gratitude for all medical professionals who are on the front lines caring and serving so selflessly. May the grace and mercy of God's healing love flow through them and surround them with strength and courageous hope.
