Disaster Relief to North Carolina: We’re heading back to the Asheville area of North Carolina - October 26th to October 31st - to serve in the ongoing relief efforts following Hurricane Helene. Recovery in the region is expected to take 3–5 years, and we’re committed to being part of that journey. Men’s Cookout and Cornhole Tournament: Get ready, gentlemen—the most prestigious cornhole championship in all of Centreville is back! Join us for our annual Men’s BBQ & Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, August 23rd from 11:00 AM to around 1:30 PM. Come hungry, come competitive, and come ready to hang out with a great crew. As always, we could use some extra hands for setup, cleanup, grilling, bringing cornhole boards, and of course—officiating the intense bracket battles. If you've got the time, we've got a spot for you!

Need for Pot Roasts: Each month, CPC provides a warm, homemade meal of pot roasts for the Lamb Center, a day shelter serving homeless men and women in our community. We’re looking for 13 volunteers to prepare roasts for Tuesday, August 19 — and we’d love your help! You can bring your fully assembled roast to church on Sunday, August 17, or deliver it hot to CPC by 10:00 AM on August 17. A simple, crowd-pleasing recipe is available by clicking below.

Report from Guatemala Missions Team: This Sunday, August 10, come hear the powerful stories and “God sightings” from our Guatemala Missions Team! You’ll hear firsthand accounts of what happens when faith steps out of the comfort zone and into the mission field. From construction projects to heartfelt conversations, the team has some unforgettable stories to share—and trust us, you don’t want to miss it.

London Towne Elementary School: Each week during the school year, a faithful group of people pack 90 bags of food so that children from the Title 1 program at London Towne Elementary School can have food for the weekend. Each bag costs only $3.75 but makes a huge difference for the child. This comes to about $1,328 per month. CPC Security Team: Every week, our congregation is watched over by a team of faithful volunteers. Recent international events have led to increased threats against places of worship in the United States. As such, we need more eyes and ears in the lobby while our families are all in the Sanctuary.

Life Groups & Bible Studies – Fall Launch: A brand-new season of Life Groups and Bible Studies is kicking off the week of September 7th, and we couldn’t be more excited to invite you in. Whether you’ve been a part of a group before or this is your very first time, there’s a seat for you. These groups are more than just weekly meetings—they’re a place to laugh, learn, ask questions, build friendships, and explore what it really means to follow Jesus together. Along the way, we’ll share meals, stories, prayers, and lots of encouragement. So don’t just go to church—be the church. Come find your people, grow in faith, and make this season one of real spiritual momentum.

Game Night at CPC: We’ll challenge each other with our board gaming skills, laugh, and have a great time! We usually start with a get-to-know-you game and then break out into separate tables of other casual games. Food is not provided but if you would like to bring some snacks to share that would be great! In the past, we have ordered pizza together if folks wanted it.

• Games are provided but if you have a favorite - bring it!
