"Are You Ready For Healing?"
John 20:1-18 | Pastor Aaron McMillan | April 5, 2026
We know the story... Jesus walks out of His own tomb, the grave clothes stripped away and says hello to His closest disciples - Everything changes, for them, for the world, forever. But why? Why does this happen? Join us this Easter Sunday as we go back to the beginning, to the moment when Jesus calls His first disciples and tells them why He has come... He has come to heal people. What does this mean and how does it explain Easter? Join us this Easter Sunday and we'll take a look together! | Pastor Aaron McMillan

| | An Update Regarding First Tuesday: Sometimes the best way to honor our need for rest is to simplify our schedules. We want to let you know that we will not be gathering for First Tuesday this April. While we’ll miss our added time of worship and prayer this month, we encourage you to still find a quiet moment this Tuesday, April 7th, to pause and reflect on God’s goodness in your own space. Stay tuned for updates on our next gathering, and may your April be filled with peace. We look forward to being back together soon! | | The Grove is back!: It is a laidback evening of worship and prayer, for those in their thirties, twenties, and teens. If your soul is tired and you are ready to be refreshed, this space is for you. Together, we will turn our hearts and minds to Jesus. This year, each Grove will focus on a different Fruit of the Spirit – starting with LOVE. The next Grove will be Friday, April 17 at 7pm at CPC. To see dates for the Grove for the next six months, check out this calendar. | | Need for Pot Roasts: Each month, CPC provides a warm, homemade meal of pot roasts for the Lamb Center, a day shelter serving homeless men and women in our community. We’re looking for 13 volunteers to prepare roasts for Tuesday, April 21st — and we’d love your help! You can bring your fully assembled roast to church on Sunday, April 19 and we will cook it for you. You can also deliver it hot to CPC by 10:15 AM on April 21st. A simple, crowd-pleasing recipe is available by clicking below. | | Women's Bible Study: Ladies, our final study of the year is Philippians beginning Wednesday, April 8th. This is a seven week, no homework inductive Bible Study of Paul's letter to the Church in Philippi. We'll study and discuss the book as a group. Come join us here at the church on Wednesdays at 9:30am or 7:00pm. If you have any questions reach out to Amy. She’d love to talk to you! If you’re already registered for this semester, no action is needed. If you’d like to jump in for this final round of the school year, use the link below. Feel free to email amy@cpceco.org with any questions. | | Women's Spring Breakfast: Ladies, please plan to join us for our annual Spring Breakfast Saturday, April 25th from 9:00am -11:00am here at the church. It’s potluck, so you can use the opportunity to share a breakfast specialty or grab something from the grocery store. This is also an excellent event to invite other women in your life to join you. All ages are welcome. Please register by clicking below so we’ll know how many to account for. You can also reach out to amy@cpceco.org with any questions. | | Manassas Battlefield Hike: Step back into history and connect with the men of our community for a morning that’s about more than just a walk in the woods. On Saturday, April 11th, the men's ministry is heading to the Manassas Battlefield to explore the hallowed ground where history was made. This isn't just a hike; it's a chance to walk the same paths as those who came before us, honoring the past while we build stronger friendships for our future. We will meet at the main Manassas Battlefield Visitors Center at 8:30am (off of Sudley Road/Rt 234) and finish up around 11am. | | Registration is open for CPCKids Camp: This 4-day camp, for kids (PreK- rising 5th grades) will explore the nature of God at Rainforest Falls. Who is God? His character? What does it mean to be rooted in relationship with Him? Each day we will be exploring these questions through interactive and hands-on Bible-learning experiences and, of course, FUN! Register by clicking the button below. Contact Jill If you have any additional questions. | | New Home for Sermon Notes We’re making it easier to stay connected! Starting this week, our sermon notes have officially migrated from YouVersion to Church Center. We want to make sure you have everything you need in one place. Go to Church Center, go to Sermons, open any sermon, see notes. If you haven't downloaded Church Center yet, now is the perfect time to make the switch! | | Join the CPC Team: Do you have a gift for clear communication and a knack for creating interesting designs? CPC is now looking for the right person to serve as our next Communication Manager. This position is currently part time and would be well suited to someone who loves the Lord and already knows the CPC family well.
