"When You Can't Shake the Sin (or maybe don't want to)"
Galatians 4:8-20 | Pastor Aaron McMillan
Christians talk quite a bit about grace and God's love, but where does it end? Does it not matter how we live? When do we say to our friend, "You need to stop." (And) if Christians can just ask and be forgiven for anything why not just enjoy life and do what you want? Big questions! Join us Sunday and we'll tackle them together!

| | CPCKids Camp 2025. Families—don’t wait! Spots are filling up, and we want to be sure our kids in CPCKids are part of the fun. Make plans now for your child to join us at CPCKids Camp 2025! This 4-day adventure, running July 8–11 from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, is packed with fun, faith, and discovery. Kids from PreK through rising 5th grade will explore what it means to trust Jesus—no matter how wild the world gets! Register today! Questions? Contact Jill | | | PB&J. High schoolers — Friday nights from 6-8pm, starting June 6 - something brand new is happening… and it’s called PB&J. What does it stand for? Great question. Is it a secret code? A party? A sandwich appreciation club? Only one way to find out: be there. Bring your friends. Bring your curiosity. Leave your guesses at the door. Wanna know more? Courtney’s got the inside scoop — email her or find her on Sunday (she’s probably near the coffee). | | Disaster Relief to NC: We are returning to the Asheville area of NC October 26-31 to help with relief efforts from hurricane Helene. The restoration work will take between 3 and 5 years for the area to recover. We are taking a team of 14 people max. This is an intergenerational missions opportunity. You can register here at Disaster Relief October 2025. | | CPCKids Sunday Social “Popsicles & Playground.” CPCKids parents, do you ever want to hang out with other parents just a little longer on Sunday mornings after worship? And kids, want to hang out with friends outside of class time? Mark your calendars for our Sunday Social on June 8th following the 10:30 service. We will gather out back for Popsicles & Playground to kick off the summer. If you have any questions contact Jill. | | CPC Photographer needed. Do you have a passion for photography and a heart for serving the church? CPC is looking for a volunteer photographer to help capture the life and ministry of our church family! Whether it's Sunday services, special events, or community gatherings, your photos can help tell the story of what God is doing at CPC. This is a great opportunity to use your gifts in a meaningful way and be part of our creative team. If interested contact Jerry Hammack for more info. | | CPCKids Sunday Changes for June: Beginning Sunday, June 8th through June 29th, children in 2nd–5th grades will join their families in worship. During this time, we will also combine our PreK and K/1 classrooms. This adjustment allows us to honor and give rest to our incredible leaders who serve faithfully all year. Despite having this change, discipling our 2nd–5th graders will not stop! We are committed to intentional, intergenerational worship, where kids and adults grow together in their faith. | | Father's Day at CPC: This Father's Day, we’re throwing a fiesta in the church lobby to honor all the incredible dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures who are nacho-average guys! These men are faith-filled leaders, backyard grill masters, (bad) joke-tellers, and everyday heroes in our church family. Come for the laughs, stay for the snacks, and let’s celebrate the amazing men who’ve helped shape our faith and families. Trust us—this is nacho-ordinary Sunday! | | Need for Pot Roasts: Every month we prepare a meal of pot roasts for the Lamb Center (day shelter for homeless men and women). Would you prepare one of the 13 roasts for June 17? Bring fully assembled on Sunday, June 15 or bring hot to CPC by 10:00 am on June 17. A simple recipe is on the CPC sign-up page. | | Just a reminder:—Neither CPC nor any of our pastors will ever email, text, or message you asking for money, gift cards, or "urgent help." If you get something like that, it’s not from us—it’s a scam. The world’s gotten a bit wild with this stuff, so stay sharp, and when in doubt, reach out to us directly. We’re happy to help clear things up! | | |
