"Are You Called?"

Acts 16:6-15 | Pastor Aaron McMillan | March 1, 2026

-------------------------------------------------------

Do you have a mission in life, a driving purpose? This week in our study of the early church we find people from every walk of life suddenly changing course, changing their live plans on a moments notice. What happened and what does it have to show us about our lives today?

Click here to follow along with the Sermon Notes in the Church Center App.

Join us this Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:30 p.m. for First Tuesday. This time of worship is an opportunity for us to start the month by taking time to be thankful for what God is doing and pray.

CPCKids Camp 2026: Registration is open for CPCKids Camp! This 4-day camp for kids (PreK- rising 5th grades) will explore the nature of God at Rainforest Falls. Who is God? His character? What does it mean to be rooted in relationship with Him, our safe place in life's storms? Each day we will be exploring these questions through interactive and hands-on Bible-learning experiences and, of course, loads of fun! AND we will be putting the rain in Rainforest Falls by bringing back Water Day for 2026. Register using the Church App under sign ups.If you would like to serve at camp and have kids attending the camp, their registration fees are waived. Contact Jill for the discount code before registering.

The Grove is back!: It is a laidback evening of worship and prayer, for those in their thirties, twenties, and teens. If your soul is tired and you are ready to be refreshed, this space is for you. Together, we will turn our hearts and minds to Jesus. This year, each Grove will focus on a different Fruit of the Spirit – starting with LOVE. The next Grove will be Friday, March 27 at 7pm at CPC. To see dates for the Grove for the next six months, check out this calendar. Contact Courtney if you have any questions.

Camp Highroad Adventure Day.  Current 3rd - 5th graders, BIG NEWS! Registration is already open for our Camp Highroad Adventure Day, July 31st 9:00am - 4:00pm, in Middleburg, VA. We will be doing a challenge course, canoeing, a hayride, and zip line! We have limited spots so register early using the church app or by clicking below. Questions? Contact Jill if you have any questions.

CPCKids Communion Workshop: Have you wondered if your child understands Communion and if so, ready to take Communion? We invite you and your 2nd - 5th graders to a Parent-Child Communion Workshop to learn about the Sacrament of Communion. This interactive and hands-on workshop will be led by our CPCKids ministry team and one of our Pastors. Join us March 15th 11:30-1:00pm. Lunch and childcare will be provided. Register using the Church App. Questions? Contact Jill (jill@cpceco.org)

Following Jesus: The Gospel of Luke: Returns this Sunday, March 1, to discuss Luke 12. We'll start at verse 1 and make it as far as time will allow. Anyone who is Bible-curious is warmly invited to drop into our no-prep, no-homework class—no prior Bible reading experience required. Come engage with The Gospel in community every Sunday during the 10:30 service, upstairs in Room 201.

Guatemala 2026, July 18-26. CPC is once again returning to Guatemala and we would love for you to help us come alongside Iglesia del Camino as they minister to the families around Antigua. Cost is $1,617 but don’t let that stop you. Speak with Lucille Marciano to find out ways we can help fund this. Registration is open and you can join by clicking below or by contacting our Director of Missions Lucille Marciano for more information

Disaster Relief: Join us for a Disaster Relief trip to Asheville, North Carolina, from Sunday May 3 to Friday, May 8, 2026, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those recovering from the Hurricane Helene disaster. Whether it’s clearing debris, repairing structures, painting or offering support to those in need, your efforts will make a real difference. The cost is $250 per person, which includes housing, breakfast, and dinner. Space is limited to just 8 participants, ensuring a close-knit team experience and the ability to focus on meaningful contributions. Teens, ages 14 - 17 are welcome with a parent of the same gender (due to sleeping arrangements).

Men’s Group Breakfast (with the Youth Group): CPC men will host another breakfast for our youth group from 8:30 to 10:30 am on March 7th  at the church. We will have a short message and enjoy some great fellowship together. All attending men (and teenagers) will pitch in on set up and cooking. See you there!

Join the CPC Team: Do you have a gift for clear communication and a knack for creating interesting designs? CPC is now looking for the right person to serve as our next Communication Manager. This position is currently part time and would be well suited to someone who loves the Lord and already knows the CPC family well. For more information email Jerry Hammock at Jerry@cpceco.org  We can't wait to hear from you.

Please consider joining the CPC Meals Team: At CPC, we believe in nourishing both the body and the soul. Sometimes, a warm dinner is the best way to show "extra love" to a neighbor navigating a surgery, an illness, the loss of a loved one, or even the beautiful (but busy!) transition of bringing home a new baby. That’s where our Meals Team comes in! When a need arises within our congregation, team members receive an email with all the details. There’s never any pressure—you simply sign up to help whenever it fits your schedule. Add your name to the list by clicking below.

CPC New Members Class: Curious about CPC? Ready to learn more about what makes this church home for so many? CPC 101 is a relaxed, welcoming space to hear our story, understand what we believe, and see how you can get connected. Whether you’re brand new or you’ve been attending for a while and are considering taking a next step, this class is designed to help you explore what it means to be part of the CPC family. We’ll gather on Sunday, March 22, right after the 10:30 service in Room 201. Lunch is provided, and childcare is available with registration. There’s no pressure — just a chance to ask questions, meet some of our leaders, and discern what God might have for you here. We’d love to spend the afternoon with you.

Need for Pot Roasts: Each month, CPC provides a warm, homemade meal of pot roasts for the Lamb Center, a day shelter serving homeless men and women in our community. We’re looking for 13 volunteers to prepare roasts for Tuesday, March 17th — and we’d love your help! You can bring your fully assembled roast to church on Sunday, March 15th and we will cook it for you. You can also deliver it hot to CPC by 10:15 AM on March 17th. A simple, crowd-pleasing recipe is available by clicking below.

Join The Production Team: Our Production Ministry is about more than just buttons and cables—it’s about removing distractions so our community can encounter God. Every time a lyric appears on screen or a prayer is heard clearly, you are helping create a space for life-changing moments. We are looking for heart-led volunteers to join our tech family! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or have never touched a soundboard in your life, we have a spot for you. Training provided and flexible schedule.

Do you enjoy gardening? We have just two plots left! If you are interested in growing your own vegetables but do not have space at home. God’s Garden has a spot for you! The beds have been tilled, compost added, and irrigation set up. Grow your own food and donate extras to a neighbor, food pantry, or others in need. If you’d like to reserve a plot in God’s Garden for this year, please contact Lucille Marciano and include your first and last name. The sign-up deadline is March 1.

PRAYER   Allow us to pray for and with you by filling out the prayer request form.
