"Living with a Limp"
1 Kings 18: 20-24; 36-39 | Pastor Paul Lauerman | May 31, 2026
We all know the feeling of living with a limp—carrying a burden or a wound that is constantly weighing us down. While relationship hurts and professional disappointments are the usual culprits, the reality for many of us is much deeper: we are limping because our hearts are divided. In 1 Kings 18, God meets us in our conflict and challenges us to find true healing, absolute strength, and total wholeness by embracing Him completely.

Whether you’re brand new or you’ve been attending for a while and are considering taking the next step, this class is designed to help you explore what it means to be part of the CPC family. We’ll gather on Sunday, June 7th, right after the 10:30 service in Room 201. Lunch is provided, and childcare is available with registration. We’ll gather to lift our voices in worship, reflect on the ways God has been faithful, and bring our hopes for the month ahead into prayer. Whether you need a quiet place to reflect or the strength of community, there is a seat waiting for you. | | Need for Pot Roasts: Each month, CPC provides a warm, homemade meal of pot roasts for the Lamb Center, a day shelter serving homeless men and women in our community. You can bring your fully assembled roast to church on Sunday, June 14th and we will cook it for you. You can also deliver it hot to CPC by 10:15 AM on June 14th. A simple, crowd-pleasing recipe is available by clicking below. | | Breakfast Sign Up: We need your help to make CPCKids Camp (June 23rd-June 26th) a success! Want to help make the day happen? We’re looking for a few volunteers to help supervise slides and water stations. Contact Jill if you’d like to jump in and serve! | Middle Schoolers: come hang with us every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in Room 201!
