CPDA is pleased to welcome back member ADM.
Membership dues fund our advocacy efforts which include working with EPA on the PRIA and non-PRIA backlog and on the possibility of giving growers credit for the use of Drift Reduction Adjuvants as an ESA mitigation tool alternative to No-Spray buffers which would be difficult for growers and our members.
| | ADM unlocks the power of nature to improve lives through global agriculture and nutrition solutions. As a leading supply chain manager and innovator, ADM connects local needs with global capabilities, offering one of the broadest portfolios in human and animal nutrition. The company is also driving sustainability and bio-based innovation to support resilient supply chains and a thriving bioeconomy. | | |
CPDA Chairman Ewan Speaks with Agri-Pulse
Industry Leadership in Action
CPDA Chairman Patrick K. Ewan was featured on Agri-Pulse Communications' Open Mic, where he discussed how the agrotechnology sector is collaborating with the EPA to modernize regulations and bring forward innovative, sustainable chemistries.
He also spoke candidly about the economic challenges facing producers and emphasized the need for science-based, practical solutions from Washington.
| | CPDA Annual Meeting Recap | | |
CPDA joined CropLife America in Lake Geneva for our Joint Annual Meeting, an energizing reminder of the strength of our industry when we come together. Highlights included remarks from EPA Deputy Assistant Administrator Kyle Kunkler on ESA strategies and PRIA progress, along with insights from ag leaders at Nutrien, Winfield United, John Deere, and others.
The meeting also marked CPDA’s leadership transition as Patrick Ewan of Helena Agri-Enterprises succeeded Terry Abbott of Adjuvants Unlimited as Chairman. We thank Terry for his dedicated service and welcome Patrick and our newly elected Executive Board.
Watch the recap video, explore photos, presentations, and session recordings, and complete our final survey. CPDA extends sincere appreciation to our sponsors for their generous support.

The federal government remains shut down with no clear end in sight. The House is out of session, while the Senate continues to look for a bipartisan path forward after last week’s failed attempt to reopen portions of the government through a minibus package.
Despite the disruption across federal agencies, the EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) remains staffed and operational under the agency’s contingency plan. CPDA has learned that while still currently functioning, operations are day to day.
CPDA will continue to monitor developments and provide members with updates as
more information becomes available.

As EPA continues implementing its new ESA strategies through phased-in pesticide label updates, CPDA, working alongside CropLife America and the Agricultural Retailers Association, has developed new tools to help industry stay ahead. Together, we’re working to ensure EPA’s approach reflects the realities of farming and other uses, promoting practical solutions that protect both endangered species and continued access to essential crop protection tools.
To support awareness and education, CPDA has published co-branded ESA materials, including slide decks and reference resources designed for outreach across the pesticide and agricultural community. The introductory ESA 101 presentation and related materials are available here.
