CPI and OMH WIN SECOND INDUSTRY AWARD FOR MODULE DESIGNED FOR NEW YORK PROJECT HOPE CRISIS COUNSELORS

NY Project Hope (NYPH) is a NYS Office of Mental Health program, funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and administered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

NYPH helps New Yorkers manage and cope with changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It offers an emotional support helpline, access to crisis counselors, educational materials, and trusted referrals.

CPI worked closely with OMH to develop a variety of resources and training materials for the public and NYPH crisis counselors. Working with subject matter experts, course developers, animators and videographers, CPI coordinated the development of over two dozen videos and modules.

We’re pleased to announce that one of these training modules - “Your Role as a Crisis Counselor” - has won a Gold Summit Creative Award.  This module uses interactivity, text, animations and videos to teach crisis counselors to use core skills - listen, validate, share and plan. Click here https://www.summitawards.com to visit the Summit Awards website.
