  • Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is a pattern of coercive and abusive behavior used by one intimate partner to gain and maintain power and control over the other partner
  •  IPV can occur with romantic partners of any gender, sexual orientation, age, or relationship status
  • IPV affects people of all ages, religions, races, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexual orientation
  • Common forms of IPV include physical, emotional, economic, sexual and technological abuse

This module is a collaboration between the Center for Practice Innovations, New York City’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Thrive initiative and the NYC Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence. Video vignettes and interactive exercises are used to increase awareness of this important topic.
