New member recruiting "poker chips" are available!

During Convention, the membership committee focused on finding modern ways to identify and recruit new members. Realizing the need to offer instant access to organizational information that targets potential members, they came up with these "Poker Chips" that have a QR code on the back that takes you to an app where new members can learn about us and join right from their smartphone.

If your Chapter/branch has a recruitment opportunity coming up such as CCTI or a unit morale event, you can request to have some of these sent to you. If you would like more information about this recruitment initiative, please reach out to the membership committee chair, Chris Hutto at chutto1979@gmail.com

Long Range Planning Committee seeks campground or lodging recommendations for purchase

The Long-Range Planning Committee is in the process of looking at procuring a campground or lodging to provide funds to the association and a place to stay for military members where there is not one available.

We have a couple of individuals who have knowledge in this field and the hospitality business, but it's not enough. We would like to find a few members who have experience in either owning/operating a campground or lodging, building a campground, and even someone who has spent lots of time staying in a campground to be on a working group with me to try and move this project forward.

If you would like to be a part of this endeavor, please contact me at BMC.David.Eddie@gmail.com

Book of the Month:

Eagle to Eagle

Drug Busts. Death-defying Search and Rescue. War Zones. Spacecraft Takedowns. This book has it all . . . and it's not a work of fiction.

Captain Mark Ogle, Coast Guard (retired), spent over forty years in service to his country. If you thought the Coast Guard only defended U.S. ports, you'll be enlightened by the varied missions these men and women are involved in every day behind the scenes.

Reconnect With Old

Service Friends

These unprecedented times are contributing to a higher level of anxiety, particularly among our Veteran population. The constant flow of often discouraging news, along with a reduced ability to mingle with others to keep spirits up, makes it difficult for some to maintain their morale. TogetherWeServed, a military heritage community website and home to over 1.9 million U.S. Military Veterans, wants to help.

A secure virtual base for Veterans

During a Veteran’s military service, their base, ship or shore station is place to call home – a safe haven to share in the company of some of the finest men and women with a mission in common. Together We Served (TWS) aims to replicate that same spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood in its own “Virtual Base” website.

With its membership containing only active serving and Veterans, TWS provides a secure platform for all Veterans to engage with other Veterans on a level that is simply not possible in most social networking environments.
