CPPA Cares Makes Summer a Little Brighter for the Children at Sarah's House Day Care Program

CPPA Cares, the newly formed philanthropy committee, recently held a Summer Camp Donation Drive which was a huge success thanks to donors like: SanMarInk GenerationHPC Global, Summit GroupImagen BrandsCheryl Faust HokansonTim Rosica and Millennium Marketing Solutions.

The drive was to benefit Sarah's House which is a supportive housing program offering emergency shelter and project-based supportive housing with an array of other services for families experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County, MD.

Sarah's House day care center has a full schedule planned for the summer, including several field trips and a sleep away camp for the older children.
They had an immediate need for t-shirts for the children attending the field trips. In less than 10 days, a logo was created, and shirts and the decoration of shirts was completed for both the children and the staff. In addition, CPPA collected flip flops, beach towels, water toys, string backpacks, water bottles, lip balm and pillows to complement the planned activities for the children.

"This is our first season sponsoring this program and we not only accomplished our fundraising goals, but raised awareness for such a wonderful cause," said Tiffany Kanak, CPPA Executive Director. "Making children smile is always one of our goals and with the help of Promotional Marketing Supplier & Distributor businesses, we anticipate enhancing and increasing our donations year after year."

"It is with a heart filled thank you that we show our appreciation to those that donated to this project and helped bring smiles to the faces of the children at Sarah's House. We couldn't do it without sponsors as supportive as they are to us," said Cheryl Hokanson, CPPA Cares Committee member.

Glenwood, MA  American Solutions for Business recently contributed over $2,100 for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Glenwood, MN. Leading up to the relay on Friday, June 7th, the team of ASB employees held several fundraising events that included a company breakfast, bake sales, sold Memorial and Honorary Name Cards, HOPE calendars, Scratch n' Give cards, and Luminary Bags. On the evening of the event, the team also held several fundraising efforts at their themed "carnival campsite" where they sold cotton candy and carnival games.

Of the ASB team that participated, three team members are cancer survivors, which contributed to much of the passion and commitment that inspired others to join the cause.
"I'm incredibly proud of this group," said Larry Zavadil, ASB Founder & President. "The survivors, family members, friends and colleagues who have joined together to raise money and help make positive impact perfectly embodies the American spirit and culture. We're lucky to have them."

"While we continue to broaden our reach in the food, hard goods, and wearables categories, we want to maintain that hands-on customer service feel that that our clientele has come to expect," said David Miller president of Chocolate Inn| Lanco. "The extensive knowledge base that both Beth and Dina bring to the table will help us accommodate the increase in customer requests while providing an additional informational resource for customers when making purchasing decisions."
