THANK YOU for your generosity!!

CPPA would like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone that participated or purchased a "Hey Buddy" bear in our recent PromoCares regional challenge.  We were able to raise nearly $550 to send to the Promotional Products Education Foundation  as well as donate 62 bears to the following organizations:

Knights of Columbus, Children's Hospital Center Ambulatory Surgery Center and the Sheriff's Office of Anne Arundel County who will use the bears for children in domestic abuse situations or other frightening scenarios involving children.
 




Charles River Apparel Launches a New Philanthropic Initiative for 2019: Clothing for a Cause
 
Sharon, MA  - Charles River Apparel launched Charles River Cares, its charitable giving program, in 2010 with the mission of expanding Charles River Apparel's philanthropic impact in the community. This year, in addition to its core programs, and building off of last year's Colors for a Cause, Charles River has launched Clothing for a Cause. 

Charles River's Clothing for a Cause is a new initiative that aligns three customer favorites with three important causes. 10% of the total sales from each of these styles, from May 1st through December 31st, will be donated to specific causes: First DescentsCamp for All Kids and the Pets & People Foundation.

Promotional Products Work! Week - May 13-17

Next week, during Promotional Products Work! Week, May 13-17, the industry will collectively shine the spotlight on the benefits of working with promotional professionals and the power of promotional products.

Here are examples of how you can GET Connected and Plug-In to the Power of Promo:

Designate a DAY OF SERVICE supporting  a local charity, school, the military or  community group.
Volunteer your time or donate promotional  products.
*  Raise awareness and money for a good  cause!
* Speak at schools and universities, chambers  of commerce and business groups.
Host a "Chamber After Hours" tabletop  show.
* Conduct a live webinar or Facebook event. 
* Study up on PPAI's "Little Black Book" of industry data and share information about our impact on the economy with legislators, politicians and officials.
Send emails, write letters, share blog posts supporting our positive contributions. 
* Honor a local official with an awards ceremony, press release and media photo op.

Calling all Suppliers and MLR's - Would you like to host a Nosh & Knowledge Event in 2019?

In an effort to bring more programs to the entire CPPA territory, we have developed lunch and learn opportunities called "Nosh & Knowledge". These luncheons allow our distributor members (and non-members) to enjoy a hosted lunch while getting industry education. Additionally it is an opportunity for our supplier sponsors to reach a larger group of people at one time maximizing their time and money.

Will You Add Your Voice?

May 15th - 16th, more than 70 PPAI members will once again take our message directly to Capitol Hill to ensure lawmakers recognize our $24 billion industry employs over half a million Americans. They will address issues of tax reform and its impact on small business; the role of independent contractors within the promotional products industry; global value chains and the effective use of promotional products.

Will you add your voice to theirs?  Consider sending emails and making phone calls so that you will be adding your voice to the conversations other members will be delivering in person in Washington, D.C.
 
It is easy to participate.  Click this link to access and send  pre-written emails or call your member of Congress.

It is understandable not everyone can make the trip to Washington, but by adding your voice it will ensure that everyone in the industry is able to join together to protect the industry that has been so good to all of us.   Thank you for your support of this important program.
