A MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Dear CPS Community

I’m thrilled to share several exciting milestones that reflect our community’s accomplishments and forward momentum this month.

First, we celebrate the launch of RevU, our new platform for lifelong learning, which includes sought-after Election Security and CBRNE credentials, as well as engaging program samplers to explore. We’re already seeing strong interest from learners who want to deepen their knowledge and skill sets.

Congratulations are in order for our Publishing program’s 14th Annual Ethics in Publishing Conference, which attracted over 700 participants! This year’s conference tackled vital issues, from industry transformations to the integration of artificial intelligence in publishing.

Our GSPM Election Hub continues to engage audiences with fresh insights from our expert faculty, and we’ve added some dynamic new videos to enrich this timely resource for the election season.

Also, I’m excited to announce our soon-to-launch CPS Annual Report website—a first for our college. This platform will reflect the collective achievements of our faculty and staff over the past year, showcasing our college’s impact and contributions.

In the realm of cybersecurity, we have proudly become an ecosystem partner with CyberGuild, an organization whose mission is to promote diversity in the cybersecurity industry. As part of this partnership, we will co-sponsor events, collaborate on a new mentorship program for female career switchers, and promote each in digital media. As part of this partnership, this month we sponsored the CyberGuild’s annual Uniting Women in Cyber conference.

In partnership with the Washington Business Journal, our new Public Relations and Communications program recently hosted a highly successful breakfast, fostering valuable conversations among industry leaders. A summary article will appear in the Journal shortly.

Looking forward to next month, there will be amazing opportunities to participate in our community with events such as Winners, Losers and Surprises, a live taping of Mastering the Room podcast with host Dr. Casey Burgat and renowned political experts Whit Ayres and Mark Mellman as they unpack the pivotal moments of the 2024 election.

Thank you for your dedication and hard work in making these successes possible. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Warm regards,
