March 2021 Issue

Dear Friends,

Surreal doesn't even begin to describe this past year. Jean Ann & I look back in Appreciation and Amazement at
how eloquently each of you have managed to not just survive but thrive in such a challenging environment. It's as if we're looking through bifocals. Journey with us and you'll see what we mean.

Looking first through the left side (think left brain...) everything is very perplexing on multiple fronts. Logically
through this lens we were able to pay Attention to the changing world around us, shift our Perspective so that we could better understand, exemplify Patience when moments were challenging, Respect the situations of those
around us, be Empathetic when listening to others, extend Compassion above and beyond, be increasingly Innovative in problem solving, step out beyond our boundaries to offer Assistance, lift others up amidst their Trials, and wholeheartedly Engage in day-to-day challenges.

APPRECIATE...as seen from our left lens...

Fast forward a few months to mid-year when we realized our circumstances were not going away any time soon. At this point, looking though our right lens (remember right brain...) we become a bit more contemplative. It's in those moments that we quickly learned to make Accommodations, be Prepared for things that were once unfamiliar, demonstrate Persistence in our pursuits, resolve to be Resilient, Encourage one another, Commit wholeheartedly to our actions, and allow our inner soul to become Intuitive. Our Approach to life took on a whole new meaning, we became Tenacious in our approach and found Exceptions to the tried-and-true. It's through this
lens where we saw the real meaning of life begin to unfold. Digging deeper we realized that while events from the past year were game changers, we were not afraid but instead embraced a whole new world.

APPRECIATE...as seen from our right lens...

From these bifocals - which were rather limited in scope - we found the need to rise up not just figuratively but literally to a broader vision. Looking beyond has made all the difference in our Attitude, our Passion for life, the Progress we see from tackling daily challenges, and in Responding to situations where we might otherwise have retracted. We have become Energized and ...no longer do we take the meaning of Camaraderie for granted. We celebrate others as an Inspiration, have Adapted to a new way of life and are becoming more Thankful and
Enthusiastic with each passing day.

...as you can see...even the accountant in us can learn to APPRECIATE the artist in others
and we are Forever and Ever Changed.

We encourage you to take a few moments to uncover the awesome events we have for you this month. They are sure to be heartwarming and fun for all!

Sincerely,
Chris Cashman & Jean Ann McCarthy
CPWC Co-Presidents 2020-2021
