The Canadian Quarter Horse Association (CQHA), is the Canadian affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), and representative of the largest breed population within the Canadian herd.

The CQHA exists to address issues of concern to Canadian owners of American Quarter Horses; to be a communications vehicle for and with Canadian AQHA members; and to promote and market Canadian-bred and/or Canadian-owned American Quarter Horses, both globally and domestically.

Canadian - Bred Surpass $100,000 in LTE!


Congratulations to Canadian-bred Buggin For Some Sun and Glenn Sutherland of Rodney, Ontario; they are the 2023 National Barrel Horse Association's (NBHA) Open Pole Bending Champions.


The 2016 palomino gelding is sired by MC B Sunkindawonder out of TF Savage Bug by MS Frenchmans Savage was bred by Joanne McEachern of Grand Valley, Ontario.


Sutherland and "Oscar" won the title with a time of 19.712, earning them a cheque for $1,256 USD. These earning pushed their life time earning total over the hundred thousand dollar mark!
