As We Prepare For The
The Sixth Sunday After Epiphany
May our ministries bring the new life that you
intend for all people. We ask this in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen
There’s an old saying that some of you may have heard.  It goes -  God is good all the time.  And of course the response is,  all the time God is good.   But  w hat about those times when we’re struggling through something in our personal lives or we watch the news and see the suffering in the world around us? If God is good all time, then why do bad things happen? How could a good and loving God allow my loved one to die? How could a good and loving God allow my home and business to be destroyed by a wild fire? How could a good and loving God allow my child to be diagnosed with cancer?  We ask “why God?” And when we can’t find the answer we want, we’re left wondering whether God really is good after all. Or even worse, is there a God at all.
This week we’re continuing a sermon series on Questions of Faith. And the question we’ll be looking at is,  why does God allow bad things happen for no good reason?
I know the weather is forecast to be snowy again on Sunday morning. If you can get to church safely, I hope you’ll join us as together we unpack this question of faith.

Are you getting notifications for the cancel of church activities? Do you want meeting reminders? If so please take a moment and look at the below file and sign-up for any "group(s)" that you belong to.

Lenten Bible Study Opportunity
In a few weeks, we’re going to be starting a 6 week Lenten study called Simon Peter: Flawed but Faithful Disciple.
It’s video based, contemporary, relatable, and provocative. We’re in the process of putting together some study groups. The hope is that each person will sign up to participate in one of these Lenten study groups.
Here’s what we need you to do in the next few days…
We would like to have you fill out a participation survey. This can be done online, via email answering the below information, or filling out a form this Sunday and put in the offering plate.

We are in need of Worship Volunteers!
Please consider helping fill the calendar of open worship duties.

Offer a friendly "Good Morning", "Welcome to Our Church" or "Happy You Could Join Us For Worship Today"...Being a Host for a Sunday simply is providing a greeting with a bulletin and helping with offering-time, or hosting fellowship time.
It is a great feeling to know that we have the spots filled before Sunday mornings so that we have someone ready to do each thing and we are not looking around for people to do so.

If everyone took one of the worship duties every few months we could fill the calendar.
Fellowship time, is what YOU want to make it, it is totally up to the individual and what they want to serve. If you need help with making coffee, etc please feel free to ask and we will find the right person to show or help you.
We have split up the Hosts to Greet and Ushers, due to some people have expressed they are able to stand to greet but don't feel they can help with offering.

This week we wrapped up our rotation Bible theme of Fruites of the Spirit. Absolultely amazing to hear some of the little kids remember some of the things we had been talking about even after the consecutive weather canceled Wednesdays. We will be starting the new rotation on February 20th, the Bible lesson theme will be "Jesus Feeds the 5000".

The Dynamite Disciples will sing and play bells again on Sunday, February 24th during worship, so save that date; we would love to have all the kids and families at worship, that can make it!

-Youth should not be arriving before 5:00pm on Wednesday evenings.
-Parents please pick-up your kid(s) at 6:30 pm. The kids are in music from 6:15-6:30pm and will be dismissed after that portion of their evening
with us .
