Did you know that 1/3 of all food in the U.S. is wasted annually?

Food Waste Prevention Week is a national campaign that aims to reduce food waste, save money, and address hunger while minimizing environmental impact. It unites various organizations, communities, and people to spread awareness around food waste in the U.S. and inspire change.

We are excited about Food Waste Prevention Week and hope you are too! Join us in spreading awareness and education about food waste. We will be tabling at various farmers markets in Long Beach throughout the week and pass out educational materials, playing educational games, and passing out giveaways. Volunteer opportunities are available on MyImpact.

You can complete a continuing education assignment for a 1-hour volunteer credit with a limit of 5 assignments. These are the continuing education assignments currently available. 

Don't forget to log your hours so you can be entered in a chance to win prizes! With every 5-hours logged, you get one entry into the raffle. So, if you volunteer 10 hours in one month, you will receive 2 entries.
