In order to do our part to help protect our community against the spread and transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the decision to temporarily close our facilities. This decision is based on the most recent guidance and mandates issued by the County Public Health Department and the State of California. Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020 the Centennial Recreation Center and Morgan Hill Aquatics Center will be closed. At this time, we anticipate this closure lasting through April 4, 2020, but there is a high likelihood that the closure may be extended.
The Senior Lunch Nutrition Program will continue to be available Monday-Friday, between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm with boxed to-go lunches only until further notice. This may change due to further restrictions.
We understand that this will have a significant impact on many of you as members, but we will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. We will be working, over the next two weeks, to credit or refund membership dues and reschedule or refund program fees due to the facility closure. We are committed to our members and regret that we will not be able to serve you in person at this time. We will be providing regular updates to members via email and on our Facebook and Instagram channels. In the meantime, the YMCA of Silicon Valley is continuing to offer CRC members use of their online workout materials
through YMCA website
. We encourage you to use these materials and exercise on your own to continue the healthy lifestyle that the CRC membership brings.
We continue to encourage our members and their families to follow the recommendations and updates made by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, which can be found online at
www.sccphd.org/coronavirus
.
Thank you for your understanding and for partnering with us to help keep our community healthy.
