Your Community Impact

For Sam, homelessness felt safer than abuse. She left everything behind and spent a year unsheltered for the first time in her life. At Community Resource Center, she found nourishing food, compassionate care, counseling and a safe place to call home. “CRC met me with arms open,” she shared. With encouragement from her CRC case manager, Sam said she felt she could keep moving forward.

Making a Difference

Our July Volunteer of the Month, Cole, returned home from college this summer and jumped right back into service at CRC, joining the Food Pantry team every Tuesday. Back at school, he now volunteers at his campus food pantry, showing how early service experiences can inspire a lasting commitment to giving back.

This summer, Del Mar Rotary members donated 85 personal hygiene kits, an abundance of individual care items and 25+ books for our Little Library. We’re grateful for their ongoing support of CRC and their commitment to making a difference for our neighbors in need.

Ways to Give

Your support = meals + hope! This September, help spread the word and join us for 11 restaurant give-back events. Proceeds benefit CRC’s Food & Nutrition programs for neighbors facing food insecurity.

August is National Make-A-Will Month, a reminder to update your estate plan or create a will or trust if you don’t have one already. Including CRC in your will, trust, or retirement plan can create a lasting impact for neighbors in need. Review your plan and beneficiary designations to ensure they reflect your wishes.

With the back-to-school and the fall season on the horizon, it's a great time to clean out your closet, donate and save. Donations can be dropped off at our Encinitas store and every item helps support our community. Join us for:
