Tennant Avenue Sewer Main Upgrade Project
The City of Morgan Hill has contracted with K.J. Woods Construction, Inc. to install a new sanitary sewer main on Tennant Avenue between Monterey Road and Railroad Avenue. No interruption of sanitary sewer service is expected. Work on this project has begun and it is anticipated to be completed in approximately six months. First order of work is to pothole numerous utilities to verify their location and depth prior to installing the sewer pipeline. Approval of contractor's Traffic Control Plan has delayed the start of the project. Work will commence as soon as the Plan has been approved. Work will be conducted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
During the work, traffic control devices will be set up and No Parking signs will be posted in advance. Access to residents, deliveries, and emergency services will be provided at all times during the roadwork. For your safety, please travel through the work zones/detours carefully or utilize alternative routes. Please plan for extra travel time when traveling through Tennant Avenue. The City appreciates your cooperation and apologizes for any inconveniences while construction is underway as there will be some construction noise, minor inconveniences, and traffic delays during the work.

Oct 31st: Watering Day Changes
Water is always a precious resource in Morgan Hill and with this in mind, our permanent watering restrictions have been designed to best manage the City's potable water supply. These restrictions will help us avoid or minimize the effects of drought, climate change and the unreliability of the imported water infrastructure that serves the City of Morgan Hill.
From April 1, 2019 through October 31, 2019, watering is limited to three days a week.
- Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for odd numbered addresses
- Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays for even numbered addresses
- No watering on Wednesdays
- Irrigation is allowed before 9 AM or after 7 PM
- Watering is limited to no more than 15 minutes per station
