CRC a Pilot Site for EDCO
Community Resource Center has partnered with EDCO on their new organics recycling program and has begun recycling organic food waste and diverting it from the landfill as part of the next step to achieving California’s Zero Waste goals.

CRC Staff named Emerging Leader
CRC staff regularly provide exemplary service to our community. Recently, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce celebrated forty emerging leaders and CRC’s Domestic Violence Education and Prevention Specialist, Luis Canseco, was honored as one of 2021’s “40 Under 40.”
Resale Store Collabs with Coach
In the Spring of 2021, Dawn Rodriguez, a manager and Coach Cares Ambassador at the Coach Outlet Store in Carlsbad, reached out to CRC to discuss a possible volunteer opportunity with our Resale Stores. She was particularly interested in using her experience with visual merchandising and digital marketing, and felt she and others on her team could be of use.
Program Spotlight
Assisting Seniors in Need

Pat and his partner Ellen were struggling to make ends meet with their social security income. Pat had gotten a part time job to make sure they could pay their rent on time, but when he lost that job they needed help until his unemployment began and he could find another job.

CRC was able to provide short term rental assistance to these seniors and connect them with food and nutrition support to ensure they could remain in their home and had healthy food to eat.
