California vs Hate Receives 180 Reports of Hate Acts Across California


It’s been a fast start for California vs Hate, the state's new hotline and online portal for reporting acts of hate.


New numbers from the first month show nearly half of people who reported hate accepted care coordination services, including support accessing legal aid or counseling.

California Civil Rights Department (CRD) Sues Santa Cruz County Farm Over Alleged Sexual Harassment


The alleged abuse began days after the farmworker was hired at Ayoquezco Farms in Watsonville. The harassment got so bad she resigned.  

 

Sexual harassment in the workplace violates state law. CRD is taking action to enforce state law and protect workers' civil rights.

Landmark $100M Settlement in Riot Games Case


CRD has secured final court approval on a landmark settlement in a sexual harassment and discrimination case against Riot Games.


Not only will Riot Games provide relief to nearly 1,600 women employees and contractors, they must also take action to ensure workers’ civil rights aren’t violated again.
