SPRING INTERN
Hello everyone! My name is Hannah Rankin and I am a senior here at Florida State University from Fort Pierce, Florida. I am earning my bachelor’s degree in English - Editing, Writing, and Media with a minor in communication, and will graduate from FSU in the fall of 2024. After graduating from FSU, I plan to earn my master’s degree in media and communication studies and pursue a career in journalism. As for now, I am focused on working hard in my classes and enjoying my time here at FSU in my last two semesters of undergrad.

I have always had a love for reading and writing for as long as I can remember. This is still true today, though now I have the opportunity to pursue my passions academically. I mainly enjoy reading fiction books which has led me to an appreciation for the creative minds of authors able to construct such fantastical worlds. However, throughout my journey as an amateur writer, I have found my preferred style: non-fiction writing. I love to write about real people and events in the world we live in today. Everyone has a story to tell, which I am interested in writing about.

I am very excited to be working for the Center of Undergraduate Research and Engagement this semester! Though I have previous experience in social media and marketing, this internship will offer me the chance to hone my skills while highlighting the hard work of our students at Florida State University. I am looking forward to the opportunity to get to know all of the students involved here at the CRE and their research. Look out for more blog posts from me this semester!
