ACC MoM APPLICATIONS CLOSE JAN 29!

ACC Meeting of the Minds 2025 application are CLOSING January 29th! 🧠


Undergraduate students are invited to apply for an incredible opportunity to present their research or creative projects at the 2025 ACC Meeting of the Minds Undergraduate Research Conference hosted at the University of Pittsburgh from March 28-30, 2025.


Sponsored by the CRE, with funding from the ACC, this award covers all travel expenses, including airfare, hotel, and meals. Students from all majors can apply, with special encouragement for Honors in the Major participants and those conducting advanced independent research.


Don’t miss this chance to present your research project and network with top student researchers across the ACC. Applications, including a letter of recommendation, are due by January 29, 2025.

IDEA GRANT APPLICATION CLOSING SOON!

The deadline to apply for an FSU IDEA Grant is February 1st! 🌟💡


FSU undergraduate students of all majors are eligible to apply for this amazing opportunity. Whether it’s a research project, creative performance, entrepreneurial endeavor, or something entirely your own, the possibilities are endless. Students are able to receive funding of up to $4,000 (or up to $6,000 for groups) in order to bring your ideas to life!


Selected projects will be showcased at the President’s Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence!

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

Showcase your research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) on April 1, 2025, in the Student Union Ballrooms! This annual event invites undergraduate students from all majors to share their research with the wider community. All students at any stage of the research process are eligible to apply!


Application deadline: February 20, 2025.

APPLY TO PRESENT AT THE

NOURISHING CREATIVITY HOUR

As part of the URS, students may also choose to participate in the Nourishing Creativity Hour. Selected students are able to feature a creative presentation of their choice, whether that be a short video, performance, art exhibition, etc.



There is a section in the USR application for students to express their interest in participating in the Nourishing Creativity Hour.

CONFERENCE FUNDING

APPLY FOR ARTS AND SCIENCES FUNDING

The College of Arts and Sciences and the Division of Undergraduate Studies supports conference presentation funding through the administration of these grants. Undergraduate students from all College of Arts and Sciences disciplines are encouraged to apply. 


Undergraduate students may apply for up to $500 to cover costs for conferences in their discipline (or a related discipline). Both virtual and in-person conferences are eligible for funding.


Rolling deadline, though you must submit this application at least 6 weeks prior to the conference at which you will be presenting (you may need to submit this earlier to ensure registration by conference deadline).


You will need to upload an itemized list of expenses as part of this application.

Introducing the CRE's Spring 2025 Social Media and Outreach Intern: Basil Miller! ✨ 


A second semester junior double majoring in Editing, Writing, and Media alongside Communication and Media Studies, Basil is incredibly excited to work with us. With experience in social media management, graphic design work, and editing, look forward to Basil's posts on our accounts and their help with the newsletter for the rest of the semester!


"I was so excited when I got the internship, and I'm really looking forward to working for the CRE! This internship will offer me real experience with social media management while I highlight the achievements of the students at FSU. Go Noles!"


Some fun facts about Basil include that they have a cat named Waffle Maker, they love to play video games with friends, and their favorite food is sushi.
