Understanding Indigenous Culture in North Dakota Series

Copy of 11.30.21 FB Post _1_.png

CREA’s team of educators and professionals with lived experience continue to combine their personal and professional expertise in creating our “Understanding Indigenous Culture in ND” Series. In doing so, we hope to build awareness and a greater understanding of all North Dakotans and to support educators in their responsibilities to include Native American history and culture in their teaching.

In addition to sharing reliable resources, we’re providing content in easy-to-understand, user-friendly, “bite-sized” portions. In February, we took a deeper dive into the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe (check it out here). This month, we’ll keep learning more about fellow North Dakotans and Indigenous Americans from the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Nation, the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, and the Spirit Lake Nation.

Please visit CREA’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts or our blog throughout the month of February to learn more!
