DC's Inclusive Innovation Incubator (In3) - the first incubator in the country focused intentionally on diversity and inclusion - officially opened its doors on April 20, 2017. The 8,500 SF incubator, designed by Wingate Hughes, sits on Howard's campus on Georgia Ave. "Wingate Hughes' vision for In3 was to create a space that not only inspires and encourages In3's members but also lets people feel a sense of relaxation - a juxtaposition to hectic campus life and the busy streets outside In3's storefront," said Daniels. "It was also crucial to balance their look toward the future with timelessness. In3 will be here changing lives for a very long time."
Trustify, a new 8,000 SF Arlington office located in Crystal City, chose Wingate Hughes to design a space that conveys "film-noir" mystery to match their culture. The private investigator platform helps the most vulnerable through their "Uber for private investigators" technology. "The reason why we go to work every day is because we believe when you design great space for a client, their mission is going to shine through, their company is going to be better, they're going to be more successful, and they will change more lives," shares Daniels. "The important things that Trustify is doing for women, along with their social mission, is only the beginning. This is their launching point to change the world. This is the type of business we want to get behind and support."

Wingate Hughes' first Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day was a big hit for all the kiddos who got the day off from school and for the big kids in our office. Co-founding principal Gavin Hughes Daniels brought his eight-year-old daughter Emily into work, and she shares what she learned.
