Ballet CREW

In addition to your CREW class all Ballet CREW participants are required to take a recreational ballet class during the 2023-2024 Dance Season at Dance Barre.

Jazz CREW

In addition to your CREW class all Jazz CREW participants are required to take a recreational ballet or a recreational jazz class during the 2023-2024 Dance Season at Dance Barre.

Lyrical CREW

In addition to your CREW class all Lyrical CREW participants are required to take a recreational ballet or recreational jazz class during the 2023-2024 Dance Season at Dance Barre. A recreational lyrical class is optional.

Hip Hop CREW

All Hip Hop CREW participants are required to take a recreational hip hop class during the 2023-2024 Dance Season at Dance Barre.

Tap CREW

All Tap CREW participants are required to take a recreational tap class during the 2023-2024 Dance Season at Dance Barre.

Production CREW *NEW THIS YEAR*

Any dancer who accepts a position on a Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and/or Tap CREW, are also welcome to join Production CREW. This will be a 30 minute additional rehearsal each week to learn and clean a full production number which they will perform in addition to their other CREW dance(s) at competitions and shows. This class comes at a reduced cost, however cannot be taken alone. The style will be jazz, but sections will be geared towards dancer's strength so that all dancer are welcome to participate.

Summer Class Requirement

Each CREW dancer is required to take 5 hours of dance class during the Summer of 2023. This can be done through Private lessons, Pop-In classes, Intensive classes, or Dance Camp. CREW dancers attendance will be tracked through our online system. If your dancer participates in a dance program outside of Dance Barre, proper documentation must be provided by email no later than August 15th.

Audition Results

Audition results will be posted to our website on Friday, May 5th. We will be posting which style or styles of dance your child has been accepted into. Specific CREW teams will not be determined until we have seen who accepts their position on a team.

Next Steps - Accepting my Spot on the Team

Once audition results have been posted, all members must confirm their acceptance on the CREW team by registering for the class during Priority Registration on Sunday, June 4th. At that time a non-refundable deposit of $100 + HST per CREW is charged to your Dance Barre account. This fee also applies to those dancers choosing to dance in Production CREW. The balance of $600 + HST per CREW (Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop) and $125 + HST for Production CREW will be paid along with tuition over the nine month season. At that time you will also be required to turn in your signed CREW contract. This contract is linked below for your reference.

Mandatory CREW Choreography Dates

All CREW members who accept their position on a team for the 2023-2024 Dance Season must be available for choreography on the following dates: August 28th - August 31st and September 5th - September 8th.

Our CREW choreography schedule will be emailed in July. Each CREW dance will be learned over two days during these dates. Attendance of choreography is mandatory in order to be on CREW for the season. As a member of a CREW team, participants are required to attend all competitions and events throughout the 2023-2024 Dance Season. Confirmed dates will be given in September.
