February Luncheon

Thank you to everyone who joined CREWNY in the discussion focusing on the new Kips Bay Science Park & Research Campus (SPARC), a far-reaching public-private partnership designed to promote New York City's leadership in the life sciences.

Our panelists provided an overview of SPARC, the history of the project's development as a public-private partnership, how the key players came together to create this ground-breaking project, and a look at its intended economic impact on the city and job growth.

Created to focus attention on the contributions of African Americans to the United States. It honors all black people from all periods of U.S. history.

February 1 – International Day of Black Women in the Arts: Celebrates the achievements of Black female artists in various fields and finds ways to support them

February 2 – Groundhog Day: Derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerges from its burrows on this day and sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will go on for six more weeks

February 4 – World Cancer Day: An international day to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

February 14 – Valentine’s Day: A significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love

February 20 – President’s Day: A day that honors U.S presidents in American history for their exemplary work in making America the great country it is today.

February 21 – Mardi Gras: Marks the start of Christian Lent season leading up to Easter

February 22 – Ash Wednesday: A holy day of prayer and fasting in many Western Christian denominations

Dream Big Campaign: Celebrating 25 Years of CREW Network Foundation

January 17 – March 31, 2023

If you could hear the excitement in their voices when they receive their scholarship calls... If you could see the joy on their faces when they are welcomed with a standing ovation at the convention… These scholarly moments are made possible by your support of the CREW Network Foundation scholarship program. Help more girls dream big, and help your chapter achieve its Chapter Challenge goals by giving in honor of fellow members. Give $100 USD or more through this campaign by March 31 and be eligible to receive a special DREAM BIG bracelet, while supplies last.

Can I give in the name of someone else? Yes, you may contribute in honor of a fellow member—the donation will count toward the Chapter Challenge
Will this count towards my chapter’s trifecta? Yes, all donations count toward the Chapter Challenge and helping your chapter reach the “trifecta.”
Will the person I honored receive a notification? When you choose to make a gift in honor of someone, you will have the opportunity to include their name and contact info to be notified as the tributee.
When is the last day to donate? The campaign runs until March 31.
Is there a minimum giving amount? Yes, we are asking for a minimum donation of $25 per donation to maximize our impact and commemorate our 25^th anniversary.
