CREWNY Announces New Logo
|
|
CREWNY joins numerous other Chapters in changing their logos after CREW Network updated its branding in the fall. The change shows solidarity between the chapters nationwide and the national CREW Network.

DIG This: A CREW Careers Program
|
|
CREWNY is excited to announce that we are developing, and will hold, an amazing program called "
DIG
This:
A CREW Careers Program," in collaboration with NEW (Nontraditional Employment for Women), on
April 18th & April 25th
. This program will focus on the lifecycle of a development project as well as to educate and encourage NEW graduates about CRE careers available to them beyond the construction trades.

CREWNY to Launch Ambassadors Program for New Members in 2020
|
|
CREWNY would like to make sure our newer members and visitors feel welcome at our events. We are asking members to sign up to be CREW Ambassadors. CREW Ambassadors will be matched up with a new member/visitor and are asked to greet them and introduce them to other members and business contacts at an event, particularly luncheons and breakfasts.

CREWNY Member Serves as Executive in Residence Program
|
|
On February 20th,
Carrie Pianin
, SVP of Arcturus Group, served as and spoke at NYU's Schack Institute of Real Estate's Executive in Residence Program, which brings senior CRE leaders together with Schack's students. Julia Rocco, Senior Director of Asset Management, will serve as an NYU/Schack Executive in Residence on April 7, 2020.

CREWNY Member Joins Kramer and Levin as Partner

Nathalia Bernardo
has joined Kramer Levin as partner in the firm's real estate practice. Bernardo represents clients in a broad range of real estate transactions, and also counsels non-profit organizations on real estate and other transactional matters.

Apply to the Forefront Fellowship: After Carbon
|
|
Forefront is an annual professional fellowship dedicated to cultivating emerging leaders in urban design, development and policy. In 2020, Forefront will explore New York City's future as a carbon-neutral city. In the first phase, Fellows will partner with the Deputy Mayor for Strategic Policy Initiatives and the Mayor's Office of M/WBE to investigate how building energy retrofits can create economic opportunity for MWBEs and employee-owned businesses. In the second phase, Fellows will develop original proposals addressing broader challenges in achieving a just transition to a clean economy.
Through this 10-month, part-time professional development opportunity, Fellows build new skills and knowledge, expand their professional community, and develop meaningful projects with impact beyond the fellowship.

CREW Network Foundation College Scholarships
|
|
The CREW Network Foundation scholarship program supports future female leaders as they pursue university-level education that will lead to careers in commercial real estate. With the help of its generous donors and
Scholarship Endowment Founders
, CREW Network Foundation will give twenty five (25) $5,000 academic scholarships to young women in 2020.
