Emerging Leaders Rebranded and Launched as
Young Professional's Group for 2019


The new and newly-exciting Young Professional's Group is intended for members of CREWNY who are 40 years of age and younger. The group's mission is to create, build, and maintain a committee of engaged members from a full spectrum of commercial real estate fields. Details on programs for 2019, described as "meaningful, approachable, networking opportunities" by the Committee Chairs, will be announced soon.

Sun & Moon Marketing Communications Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Congratulations to long-time member and contributor Madelyne Kirch on 25 years and counting as head of Sun & Moon Marketing Communications. The firm has marketed millions of square feet of office space, branded thousands of residential buildings, introduced countless retail spaces, created a neighborhood, orchestrated broker parties, supported economic development, named companies, and created some pretty cool marketing suites.
Elizabeth Schrero Participates in Panel; Receives Leadership Award
Elizabeth Schrero, Esq. , Partner, Seyfarth Shaw LLP (far right) participated in a panel discussion entitled “ Tales of Extraordinary Women in Real Estate ”, presented by the NY Chapter of Brown University's Alumni in Real Estate Group (BREG) at Lincoln Center. She also accepted an invitation to join the Advisory Committee of BREG where she currently serves.
Elizabeth (second from left) also received a Leadership Award at the New York Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law's Inaugural Leadership Forum. The Award is given to a Coalition delegate who demonstrates commitment and dedication to the Coalition as well as excellence in lawyering.
Past CREWNY Presidents Share Insights on Women Leadership Panel
Jennifer Carey , (left) Founder and President, JLC Environmental Consultants, and Christine Chipurnoi MS, CPCU, RPLU , Senior Vice President, USI Insurance Services, participated in Baker Tilly's GROW Panel with other distinguished women leaders. The event focused on female leadership in male dominated fields, how the women on the panel addressed those issues and lessons learned that can be passed on to the next generation of leaders. 
Immediate Past President to Star as Panelist at
ABA Mid-winter Conference in LA
CREWNY Immediate Past President, Jaimee Nardiello , a partner at construction law firm Zetlin & De Chiara LLP, will speak at the 2019 American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law’s midwinter conference on  Public Construction Projects: Not Always a Hollywood Ending . The conference will be held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles and celebrate the town's creativity and vitality as it explores the characteristics of public construction.
 
Ms. Nardiello will be a member of the panel, “Creative Collateral Claims Against Public Entities and their Agents.” The conversation is expected to delve into theories of liability for owners’ service providers, such as architects, construction managers and owner’s reps, for the consequences of their advice. Panelists will address defamation and other potential claims for an architect’s recommendations on bid selection.
