CREWNY Statement of Support for Pride Month and Juneteenth
|
|
CREWNY supports its members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and joins them and the entire #CRE LGBTQIA+ community in celebrating Pride month 2022 with respect.
Click here to learn about the history of Pride Month.
Juneteenth (6/19) honors the day in 1865 on which, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued, Union soldiers landed in Galveston, Texas. They announced the news of the proclamation to enslaved African Americans, officially ending slavery in the U.S.
Observing Juneteenth, also known as African-American Emancipation Day, is an opportunity to commemorate further and celebrate Black/African-American history and culture. At CREWNY, we recognize the significance of this day. As CRE leaders, we aspire to encourage diversity, equity and inclusion in our industry. Please join us in celebrating this significant holiday.

CREWNY 2023 Board Nominations
|
|
Are you interested in impacting the direction of CREW New York?
CREW New York seeks to fill the following board positions for 2023:
- 2023 President-Elect (3 years)
- Secretary (2 years)
- Diversity Officer (1 year)
- Membership (2 years)
- Sponsorship (2 years)
- Career Advancement ( 2 years)
- Legacy Leaders (2 years)
- Membership Engagement & Empowerment (2 years)
To fill these positions, we are looking for two CREWNY members in good standing to volunteer for the 2023 Nominating Committee. The committee aids in the process of selecting our new Board members. This is a short-term assignment that does not involve a great time commitment. Current Board members are not eligible for these two positions. Additionally, you cannot be on the Nominating Committee if you would like to be a candidate for any open positions.
If you are interested in being a member of the nomination committee, please email Catarina Stromberg at office@crewny.org by close of business Wednesday, July 13.
