How Will the Coronavirus Impact Net Lease Real Estate?
Coronavirus is the story of 2020, and probably 2021. Everyone’s personal health is being threatened by COVID-19, and that is incredibly stressful. A series of dominoes are just beginning to fall: supply chain disruptions, canceled travel and meetings, a shortage of basic household and medical supplies, social distancing, and a disrupted business future. Resources like the  CDC  are imperative to consult during this unprecedented health crisis.

While we care deeply about the lives of everyone we work with and pray for your health and safety, we know that you count on our advice and real estate expertise when the market shifts. This letter is an effort to help you in the best, most immediate way we know how, by analyzing and sharing our view of the spreading virus’ economic consequences on your Net Lease real estate.

Help NYCEDC Source Space During The COVID-19 Crisis!
NYCEDC is sourcing space for City/State emergency requirements. Please spread the word!
NYCEDC is sourcing space for hospital beds, currently through REBNY and ABNY. The OEM preference is indoor facilities with the following preferred criteria:
  • Bigger is better – larger facilities are easier to staff and supply – 1 million SF is their ideal size
  • 40-80K SF is the minimum
  • Open floorplan
  • Floorplates 10K SF or larger
  • Multiple floors are better than one giant space (e.g., they’re working on 111 Wall)
  • Temperature controlled
  • For ICUs, hookup to a generator (for backup power) is required
  • Utilities and temp control are essential. ADA is nice to have.

If you have anything in your portfolio that meets the above criteria in the 5 boroughs, please email BREG Steering Committee Member, Lauren Wolf, at  [email protected] .
