With the Memorial Day weekend upon us and graduations being celebrated, Summer is here. The team is excited about the upcoming season, and with the relief of state mandates, a new and improved Tavern '38, and, best of all, a beautiful golf course, Crow River Golf Club is ready for you to come enjoy your Summer here.
We hope you like the newsletter and the information in it. During the Summer months, we plan to send it monthly to keep you up to date on upcoming events, as well as the events you participated in. Along with the newsletter, please take a peek at our website, Facebook page, and--something new and exciting we are working on--our very own Crow River Golf Club app.
The Operating Board and the employee-partners know communication is the key to a member club, so we plan to use every available avenue to keep you abreast of all the programming we offer here at the club.
Lastly, I am so excited to welcome 29 new members to the CRGC family this year. We are growing! With younger families seeing the benefits and offerings of Crow River Golf Club, the club will continue to evolve with membership growth. These are exciting times.
Let’s have a great Summer and make some memories!
See you down the middle,
Tom Parsons, PGA
General Manager/Head Golf Professional

RECIPROCAL GOLF
On Monday, June 7, CRGC will be closed for the MN Military Family Foundation Tournament. If you would like to golf at a reciprocal course, please contact Tom at 320-587-3070 to make arrangements.
It was a beautiful afternoon at CRGC as Session 1 Jr. Golf Camp enthusiasts worked on rules, technique, and etiquette. They have a real energy and interest for the game... what a great group of kids!
I'm going to talk about grips this month. Do you know the things attached to your club that you hold when you swing the club? You probably didn't know this, but the slicker your grip is, the tighter you need to hold onto the club, the tighter you hold on to the club, the less range of motion you have, and the shorter you hit the ball. Make sense?
How often should you replace your grips? Believe it or not, once a year. What goes into choosing a grip and the correct grip size for you? Too small, and you will miss it to the left, too big, and you miss your shots to the right. What conditions do you play in? How does it feel to you? Do you prefer a softer, tackier grip with less stress on your body or a firmer feel that gives you immediate feedback on how you struck the ball?
I can help you with any questions if you would like to come in and discuss what you have now is good for you, or it's time to make the switch. Remember, the grip is the only thing that attaches you to the club, and you need to make it count.
I hope this helps your game.
Father's Day
Sunday, June 20!
