Meet the Speakers

Matthew Campbell is a northwest based architect specializing in the planning, design, construction, and regulatory environment of healthcare facilities. Before returning to the private sector in 2022, he spent over 16 years reviewing healthcare construction projects to building codes, state licensing rules, and federal certification requirements as a plan reviewer for the Washington State Department of Health, Construction Review Services. With this unique perspective into healthcare facilities, their planning, design, construction, and regulation, Matthew applies his love of learning and teaching towards identifying efficient, compliant design solutions and helping project teams navigate the regulatory environment.

Tansy Bowermaster is a certified Healthcare Architect and Principal at TreanorHL, holding licenses in Washington, Oregon, and California, as well as NCARB certification. She is a member of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health, WSSHE, OSHE, and a new member of CRHEA. Tansy has over 20 years of experience completing projects in existing Hospitals and Outpatient Departments including navigating complex regulatory environments. In addition to her focus on projects, Tansy is actively engaged in firm management activities, including mentoring staff and reviewing and stamping all Health studio drawings in the Portland office.
