Crossways Connections
January 2019
Work at Camp this Summer!
While we are experiencing frigid temperatures and significant snow falls, we are hard at work, focusing on the upcoming summer season, specifically the summer staff hiring process and we need your help.

Do you know any young adults or individuals who are young at heart that are looking for a chance to make a difference and have their lives changed forever?

If so, please encourage them to consider working at camp this summer. Our staff is an integral part of this ministry and I continue to hear stories from campers (both old and new), parents and former staff about lives changed – forever.

So, parents, grandparents, congregational leaders, friends of Crossways, do you know any young adults? Let us know who they are and we will be happy to connect with them or have them check out job opportunities at

Working at camp is an experience unlike any other. Not only do you get to see other people be transformed by faith, but by the end of the summer you become transformed as well.”- Lauren P.

“I work at camp because it challenges me, while also making me feel incredibly whole and fulfilled. I work at camp because I feel there is so much beauty in creating a space for kids to learn that it's okay to be who God has created them to be.” -Mara B

“I’ve been in full-time outdoor ministry for three years. YEAH!
Thank you for my start back in 2000 as a camp counselor at Imago Dei Village. Who know that summer I would change my major in college and be forever changed.” – Amy E

Hiring summer staff last year was a challenge, not only for Crossways, but for outdoor ministries across the country. As a result, it required a different level of creative scheduling and site assignments to make sure we were meeting required staffing ratios while committed to providing the exceptional camping experience that our campers and their families have come to expect.

Yours in Christ,
Laurie Wilkinson
Interim Executive Director
Thank You Adam!

We want to share some news about Adam Brandt, who had been site director at Waypost for the past three years. Adam accepted a position with the Outagamie County Parks Department as a park ranger and transitioned into this new opportunity late in 2018.

From Adam :
“I will always be grateful for the opportunities and experiences I gain along the way here.
Waypost is truly one of the most beautiful places, and I pray you all take the time to visit and support the natural gifts God has blessed this property with. Many blessings to you all. Waypost will never be far from our hearts.” - Adam, Marissa, and Elliana Brandt

We wish Adam and his family all the best and know he will be missed; we were blessed by your leadership during your time with Crossways Camping Ministries. GOOD LUCK ADAM.

Going forward, we will continue to explore the staffing needs and opportunities at Waypost and will keep you updated.
Welcome Amanda!
