2017 Summer Mission Project:
Water of Life
Over the course of this past summer our campers learned about the role of water in our lives, both physically and spiritually. Our summer theme was "Water of Life," highlighting this passage from Isaiah: "When you walk through the waters, I will be with you," (Isaiah 2:8).

Every camper was given an opportunity to donate to our two mission project focus organizations - one global and one local. Our global focus in 2017 was on Heifer International for the purpose of purchasing their "Gift of Clean Water"! This gift helps families install treadle pumps, giving them access to clean water, and educates communities about managing water resources and the importance of water sanitation.

Our local mission dollars were given to LEAVEN Fox Cities . LEAVEN is an organization that assists individuals and families under hardship in meeting their basic needs - including utilities like water and sanitation.

Our mission project donations totaled $4754.22 - praise the Lord! We were able to purchase 8 Gifts of Clean Water packages from Heifer International, totaling $2400 . A donation of $2354.22 will be made to LEAVEN Fox Cities and will help many families find their feet amidst a rough season.

Thank you everyone for your support of our mission project in 2017! We were excited about our donation partners and were thrilled to be able to offer those donations in September.

Bike for Crossways: THANK YOU!
The 2nd annual Bike for Crossways fundraiser, planned and sponsored by volunteers from a few Green Bay area congregations, welcomed 28 riders for their Sunday, September 17 bike ride from Howard to Pulaski and back again.

Many thanks goes out to the pastors, sponsors, riders, planning committee, Greg Schultke (Sloppy Joe cook), and Thrivent. Because of you, $987 was gathered! An additional $500 was given anonymously, bringing the total to $1487. This will provide 3.3 full camperships for campers in 2018.

Did you know that your church can become a sponsor for this event? Contact Harvey Jaeger at to let him know you're interested. The team is excited to grow this event each year and would love your participation!

Thank you again to everyone involved. It was a beautiful day for a ride and a great event to support the mission of Crossways.
