PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS

OCC Forum

November 20, 7:30 PM

Oakland Community College, Highland Lakes

Oakland Community College (OCC) is hosting a Community Forum on Nov. 20, 6 - 7:30 PM at the Highland Lakes Campus Student Center. The College is planning to sell 91 acres of wooded land in 2026.

A portion of the headwaters of the Clinton River, as well as woodlands, wetlands, and wildlife habitats, are located on this property. Combined with a nearby 79-acre property which is leased to Oakland County Parks, the OCC property could be part of a 170-acre recreational park, preserving this important green space and protecting it from development.

CRWC and other conservation and environmental groups support preserving this unique property in the headwaters of the Clinton River. If you have input about the future of this property, please click below to RSVP. Registration is required.
