A Message from Jen Belnap, CRWF President

We had an informative and engaging meeting in August. If you missed it, you missed out! Our luncheon was jam packed with VIP speakers and election-time energy! As we dive into the final stretch for election season 2024, we need all hands on deck. Our success depends on your support. We represent what Americans care about: freedom, family, faith, country, jobs, education and so much more. We need your help to spread that message in our community. Please plan to volunteer for one or more of our candidates over the next month and a half. Like I said at the August luncheon, if everyone in that room donated an hour a day to a candidate’s campaign, we’d collectively have over 800 hours of volunteer time each week. Support at that level is what will catapult our candidates to victory in November! Volunteers make the world go ‘round. We are grateful for each and every one of you. Keep up the great work!

In Service,

Jen Belnap

Get out the vote and win this election!!

Judy Rees – Election Integrity Officer – Republican Party, San Diego County

All right Carlsbad Republican Women we are getting down to “the wire” and everyday counts!

Ballots will hit mailboxes around October 5th, and because you will have attended our September “Candidates Express”, you will know how to vote, and you can vote with confidence immediately upon receipt of your ballot!! However, do not assume you are in good standing with your registration and here is one way to tell. September 26th Voter Information Pamphlets will start going out to registered voters and if you did not receive one, you may not get a ballot!!!

It can’t hurt to check your registration now. CLICK HERE to assure you are safe.

We simply must win this election!! We can use your help! Have you thought about working together with others who want to win, too?  There are plenty of opportunities to choose from when you join “Protect the Vote” and, we will train you!!

Maybe you would like to be a Poll Observer at one of the (200) Vote Centers or maybe at the Registrar of Voters Office, then you should join our Election Integrity Team. You may choose your hours and your location of work and you can get training on Zoom at https://cagop.org/election-integrity-training/

Choose from:

  • Get a job at the ROV (the link for the Application is provided)
  • Voter Education Training
  • Ballot Harvesting & Curing Training
  • Poll Observer Training: for both – the ROV and the Vote Centers

CRWF goes to Breakfast !!!

The Carlsbad Republican Women Federated sponsored a table at the Carlsbad Regional Community Summit held at the Westin Carlsbad Resort and Spa for a breakfast gathering this past week.

The room was packed with friends of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and city officials both past and present. Our CRWF members enjoyed hearing about the future of our city as Mayor Keith Blackborn addressed the group with an amusing video made while touring our fine city.

A Report From ... Teri House, Legislation Chair

The Good News and the Bad!

The good news is the legislative season is closed! The California Assembly legislative session reportedly ended in a whirlwind of chaos as Democrats not only showed up late but then delayed and waited until the final hours to cram through hundreds of bills before the midnight deadline. Votes were rushed. When Assembly Republicans tried to speak, Democrats, wielding their super majority power, limited discussion to 30 seconds, then 15 seconds, effectively shutting down debate in their rage to pass as many bills before the midnight deadline. This blatant disregard for transparency is a direct attack on the democratic process. The same party that claims to defend democracy showed no shame in silencing opposition and abusing their power.

The temporary good news is Gavin Newsom vetoed the congressionally passed, yet without funding, bill to give illegal immigrants money for down payments for houses. Doing so, clearly Gavin still has his sights set on the White House which is bad news for the entire country!

In addition to supporting our local candidates and participating in national politics as well, keep up the pressure on the propositions. Vote NO across the board with the exceptions of 34 and 36! Prop 34 prevents the use of taxpayers money in politics but is deceptively Restricts Spending by Health Care Providers. Beware!

Prop 36 reverses the damage done by Prop 47 and restores law enforcement's ability to arrest criminals for crimes. How about that?

Let's Keep Engaged and Keep Fighting for our Great State of California and our wonderful Cities!

It’s September – Fall in in the Air!
