  • February 22-23 | The CS-CASH Team will be presenting farm safety and health topics to the participants of the Nebraska Extension Women in Ag Conference in Kearney Nebraska. Learn more about the Nebraska Women in Ag Conference.
  • March 2 | Ellen Duysen will be presenting Nebraska Farm Safety Initiatives to the 2024 LEAD (Leadership Education/Action Development) participants at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. 
  • March 5 | Dr. Aaron Yoder and Ellen Duysen will be featured on the "Mother's Game Plan for Safety and Health" Podcast. Click here to learn more.
  • March 24 | Dr. Risto Rautiainen, Dr. Aaron Yoder, and Ellen Duysen will be the technical team for the 2024 OSHA Alliance Stand Up for Grain Safety Kickoff taking place in Mitchell, SD. Ellen will also present Cost-Effective Measures to Prevent Infectious Disease in Agriculture to grain producers attending the Kickoff event. Learn more about Stand Up for Grain Safety Week.

See what the Center has been up to...

Dr. Aaron Yoder, Center Research Director, is featured on two new episodes of AgriSafe's Talking Total Farmer Health Podcast: How Ergonomic Technology can Improve Farm Safety and Farm Safety Tips for Animal Handling. Listen to both episodes here!

Center Coordinator Ellen Duysen presented two talks to the attendees of the Missouri Young Farmers Conference in Ozark, Missouri: The Cost of Agricultural Injury and Farmer's First Aid. Find information about first aid response on the farm here.

The CS-CASH outreach team attended the first annual Ag Summit & Expo in Council Bluffs, IA. Center Director Dr. Risto Rautiainen presented on the Economics of Safety in Ag, and the Center gave away $300 worth of PPE equipment in a wall-mount box to a lucky winner.

Dr. Aaron Yoder provided ag safety and health education January 31st at the CHS All Employee Safety Day in Holdrege, NE.

From Antibiotics to Zoonotics, Center Coordinator Ellen Duysen presented information on prevention of infectious disease in agricultural workers to students at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign enrolled in the Engineering Technology and Management for Agricultural Systems course.
