Alpha Omega Epsilon is a professional and social sorority for underrepresented genders in STEM. Every semester we hold professional events such as prep for career fairs, resume workshops, and practice interviews, as well as many social events such as painting, game nights, and cooking competitions. We connect with other Greek orgs on campus each semester for social or philanthropic events, and keep our members engaged and giving back to the community through volunteer work together.
Our recruitment process is very laid back, and interested students only need to attend two events to be invited to our invite-only event, though we always encourage people to attend more to get to know our members better!

Career Corner: Work Portfolios and Personal Websites |
An important part of getting an internship or job in Tech, Data and Analytics is demonstrating your technical proficiencies. This is done by including development projects on your resume - projects from courses, group assignments, volunteering and personal ideas.
You should describe your projects on your resume, with attention to what you developed, how you did it (tools, languages, team size, functions) and what the app’s objective/primary function is.
You can show your projects in other ways too!
Store your projects and work samples on GitHub, and link the page on your resume. (Note: some courses will request you do not put project code online - check with your TA or professor).
Many CS Students also choose to make personal websites to showcase their skills and projects. Your personal website becomes a work sample in itself of your front-end programming skills. You can link your personal website on your resume, and even describe it like your other projects.
