Monday: Women in Tech Networking Event

At this 90 minute virtual program, connect with alumni speaking about their educational and career journey as it relates to being a woman in the field of technology. After introductions and opening questions, we will open the floor for Q&A from students.
Wednesday: Distinguished Entrepreneurship Lunch with Mike Sanders
Date: February 23

Mike Sanders is a technology executive with experience in enterprise sales, marketing, business development, product management and team building. He has led customers and teams through major market transitions caused by disruptive technologies. Mike also led the buildout out of sales and technical operations in competitive markets and was a member of the senior leadership team during a major recapitalization and company sale. He is currently leading sales and operations for Rosh Review, an EdTech company providing medical education. Mike graduated with his BBA degree in Marketing from the Wisconsin School of Business.

WACM wants to help students be more prepared for introductory CS courses (like CS 400, CS 354, and more) by helping them learn basic Linux commands. Whether you come to brush up on your skills, or to learn something new, the workshop is beneficial to all skill levels! Bring a laptop if you're able to!
Friday through Sunday: TechTogether Hackathon

TechTogether's Chicago Chapter is hosting our city's first-ever virtual hackathon for people of marginalized genders of all ages. This is an amazing opportunity for students to network with companies like Microsoft and Capital One, explore different career paths in tech, and learn new coding skills. The event is also 100% free to attend.

Data Buddies Survey (extended deadline!)
The deadline for the Computing Research Association’s (CRA) Data Buddies survey has been extended to 9:00 AM ET February 28th. CRA is interested in career development among students in computing fields. Your contribution to this research helps us understand factors related to academic retention and persistence.
