BadgerFly Opportunity
BadgerFly intends to represent UW-Madison at the 1st METU VTOL (http://vtol.ae.metu.edu.tr/en/index.html) Competition this year. The competition is sponsored by Boeing and entails building a VTOL aircraft capable of flying autonomously and carrying a payload with a combined weight of less than 8kg. 
 
BadgerFly is currently recruiting students from all Engineering Departments & Computer Sciences to help form a team to design, assemble & autonomously fly a VTOL for the competition.

The initial proposal for the competition is due online on the 11th of April, if that is accepted, members will have the option of working online or in-person for the final prototype due in July. 
Scholarship Opportunity
The Departments of Statistics and Computer Sciences have been selected to award a $1,000 MinneAnalytics Scholarship to a student for the 2022-23 calendar year!

Eligibility to apply: Continuing students who
  • will be enrolled next academic year, 2022-23
  • are passionate about a career in analytics or data science (regardless of major) and
  • have demonstrated a commitment to community engagement

Application process:
You will be asked to upload an unofficial transcript as a PDF, a CV or resume as a PDF; and answers to several short questions (in written, audio, video, or equivalent form)
If you are interested in being considered for this opportunity, please complete the following form by April 8th, 2022 11:59pm CT.
 
The recipient will be notified in early September. If selected, students are asked to connect with MinneAnalytics on LinkedIn, and provide a photo/short bio to be viewed on the MinneAnalytics website. More details will be provided to the recipient.
