Monday: Wisconsin Idea Grant Information Session

Do you have an idea for how to solve a local or global problem? The Wisconsin Idea Fellowship (WIF) might be perfect for you. This program supports undergraduates working individually or in teams to solve problems alongside community partners. Funding of up to $7,000 is available. Learn more here and come to an info session to start planning your project!

Elan Halpern will be giving a talk about Alchemy, the company she works for, and the blockchain space in general and how to learn more / get involved. 
Alchemy is providing a service to decentralized applications (dApps) to run on. They are like Amazon Web Services, but for blockchain related apps and services. 70% of dApps run on Alchemy. They were also recently featured on the Forbes FinTech 50. You can learn more about Elan on her LinkedIn here.

Call for Proposals: Data Science Research Bazaar
UW-Madison’s Data Science Hub seeks lightning talk, poster, interactive discussion, workshop and art submissions for its third annual Data Science Research Bazaar. Focused on the theme of Data and Communities: Sharing and Protecting Data, the Research Bazaar will include in-person and virtual options throughout February 2022.

Please see the attached flyer for details. Proposals due November 30.
