Independence Day Gallery Hours

Please note, Main Street Arts will be closed Thursday, July 4 through Saturday, July 6 in addition to our usual closed days of Sunday and Monday in observance of Independence Day. The gallery will reopen with normal gallery hours of Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9.



Art Experience Summer Session
Tuesday, July 9 through Friday, July 12
$80 per student for 4-day session, with a bonus day on Saturday, July 13!

Beyond Ornamental
Exhibition of fine jewelry by six regional artists and designers and
Saturday, July 13, 4-7 p.m.

Summer Art Saturdays
Saturday July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10
Kids age 5 and up
$8 per class (in advance), $10 day of class
   Led by gallery assistant and artist Maria Galens
  
Week One: Mixed Media Paper Figures
Assemble a paper figure using painting, drawing and mixed media collage materials including yarn and fabric.

Week Two: Marker Dyed Fabric Banners
Create a fabric banner using beading, drawing and dying with markers and water.

Week Three: Mixed Media Underwater Scene
Explore watercolor painting, printmaking, pastel drawing and paper collage to create an underwater scene.

Week Four: Design your Own T Shirt
Design a t-shirt by creating handmade stencils and spraying ink with spray bottles.

Week Five: Stuffed Creature Creations
Create a stuffed creature using simple and safe sewing techniques with fabric, buttons, felt, sequins and more.

Call For Work: Ontario Pathways

With a local focus, the Ontario Pathways Exhibition is open to all artists. The only criteria is that the submissions are photographs, drawings, or paintings of the Ontario Pathways trail system or the immediately surrounding areas. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. This exhibition will take place on the second floor of Main Street Arts. Submit your work by September 6, 2019!
