CSA November 2016 Enewsletter

We would like to commend our Online Users for the impeccable detail that is demonstrated when submitting their "Requests For Buyer Numbers". While processing your requests we have noticed that some users are submitting multiple requests for the same buyer. Only one request per individual buyer is necessary. The CSA Registry staff process your requests as they arrive in the [email protected] inbox. Therefore, if your requests are sent after 4:00pm (MDT - Mountain Daylight Time), you will receive an email reply the following day.

Submitting Non-Simmentals

When submitting Non-Simmentals you do not have to fill out the Import Application. If you have the SNP Breeder Copy from the required Lab send that along with the pedigree that you had submitted.

BREED IMPROVEMENT

Member Submission Deadline Dates for Genetic Evaluation

In order for data to be included in CSA Genetic Evaluations, it must be received by the CSA office by November 1st for the Spring Evaluation and by May 15th for the Fall Evaluation.

FRIENDS OF CANADIAN SIMMENTAL FOUNDATION

The Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016 scholarships. There were 24 very qualified applications this year. Through the fundraising efforts of the past few years the scholarships have been increased to a total of $12,000. The following youth are this year's recipients. Congratulations and we wish them well in their educational studies.

Looking for a Unique Christmas Gift

The Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation are selling a limited

edition of 10 prints of the photo that was used on the cover of our 2015 and 2016 Foundation Catalog. This 16" x 20" photo is on canvas. Orders can be emailed to [email protected] . These limited edition prints sell for $400 + GST and shipping. This is a great way to support the Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation. Orders must be received by December 1 to guarantee delivery for Christmas.

2017 Friend of Canadian Simmental Foundation

We are pleased to announce the 2017 Friend of Canadian Simmental Foundation and the donator of the Lot 1 bred heifer in the 2017 Foundation Auction as Tyron Simmentals - Frank Robblee, Crapaud, PEI. We are very honoured to host the 2017 Charity Auction in New Brunswick next August. The donation from Tryon Simmentals will be a feature in what we anticipate to be one of the most exciting auctions to date. Thank you to Frank and his family.
