Club season is here and we are thankful to be back!!

Below you will find important information from club president, Kris Adkins and even hear about some of our new and returning Altitude athletes!

Hello Everyone!

What a great turnout we had at our Club Information Meeting!  It was great to see everyone and awesome to feel the excitement surrounding this year’s club season.

If you don’t already know, the club is operated as a 501C3 Non-profit organization and we have an active Board of Directors who help make sure the club runs smoothly.  We are currently seeking 1 additional at large board member position and we would love your help!  We meet once a month and communicate throughout the month via email as issues arise.  If you are interested in this position, please reply to me and we will have you attend our December or January meeting.

The Board has also created several committees where we could use some outside involvement.  The following list of committees is available to volunteer for:  Fundraising and Event’s Committee, Member Engagement & Satisfaction Committee, CSA Website, and Social Media Committee.  If you feel like you could be an asset to the club in any of these areas, please let me know and I will get you in touch with the Committee Chairperson.

Thank you all for choosing to be a member of Colorado Springs Altitude!  We look forward to another successful season and the continued growth of our club, our coaches, and most of all our players.

Butter Braid Fundraiser

Each year, Altitude holds a butter braid fundraiser. This year CSA sold 1,008 butter braids, totaling $13,260! Each athlete, coach, and parent who participated made this a successful fundraiser, but there is one athlete in particular who went above and beyond.

12 Navy athlete, Aivah King sold 57 butter braids to win her team a pizza party! As a whole, 12 Navy sold 84 butter braids. Congrats, Aviah and 12 Navy!

Some New, Some Old (Returning)

Altitude is lucky to be home to so many athletes. This season we have twenty-two teams with over 200 members! We are excited to work with our 2022 CSA players, new and returning.

With a new season, comes new faces! This is true for 13 Navy player, Kiera Shockley. "I just started playing here (Altitude) and I love it. It is a fun place to play and make new friends. I get to build life long relationships with amazing coaches, " said Shockley.

CSA teams will be competing in many areas this year - Orlando, Nashville, and Salt Lake City to name a few! Like many of our athletes, Abby Stalp, 14 Silver agreed that "Tournaments and traveling" are going to be the highlight of the new season. In addition to traveling, we are thrilled to enter a more normal season. "I am super excited to be able to have spectators and a more traditional season with travel, said Emily Thill, 14 Silver.

Get ready for an amazing club season, Altitude!
