Week of November 8
From the PTA President...

There is a lot of school information coming your way through student led conferences and our General PTA meeting this week. If you haven’t registered to attend the PTA meeting, please do so today! The link is below. Per TX PTA guidelines, Zoom info will only be emailed to those who have registered.

I want to thank Emily Paulson and Kelly Wolf for organizing and creating our printed school directory. It’s just about ready! However, we only have 49 8th graders, 71 7th graders, and 84 6th graders listed in the directory! I know we have way more students in each grade level than that. You must give permission for your information to be published in the online directory through Membership Toolkit. If you haven’t gone in to update your info, it’s not too late! The online directory is always open to update or add your information. www.cornerstoneacademypta.membershiptoolkit.com. Click on Register/Sign In, then click on Directory Publish Preferences.

I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather and the beautiful early morning sun rises. Two weeks until Thanksgiving break. Hold on…the year is picking up speed!

Have you ordered a yearbook?
Have you submitted a yearbook photo?

The Cornerstone Academy Yearbook Staff is committed to telling the story of the 2020-2021 school year, and it wouldn't be complete without your child's photo! We've teamed up with Balfour to provide an easy way to submit your portrait for inclusion in the yearbook. Follow your personalized link below to get started.

Deadline: Friday, November 13th

Also, if you haven't already ordered your yearbook, you can purchase one online at: https://www.balfour.com/student-info?smi=112388
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why am I being asked to submit a portrait photo?
Although CSA students will have their traditional professional portraits taken at school in November, CSA yearbook is trying something new to go along with this year's "New Normal" theme. All students, both in-person and virtual, need to upload a portrait using the personal upload link.

What tips should I consider before submitting my portrait?
We're looking for a simple, classic headshot image of your student. The best photos are those with neutral, simple backgrounds with space above the head and shoulders for ample cropping. Ideal images are those taken in a vertical manner with no other people in the photo. Be sure your photo meets all school dress code guidelines for inclusion in the book.

Thanks!
-Cornerstone Academy Yearbook Staff

P.S. - We put together this handy guide to walk through the steps for submitting your student's photo.

If you have any further questions, please email Ms. Kim or Mrs. Bimler.

Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) believes in student success. As the nonprofit organization that partners with Spring Branch ISD, we fund programs that enrich education for students across the district. Led by a volunteer board of community leaders, we raise funds through donations and community events. Thanks to a generous community, we give scholarships to a growing number of seniors each year, and we award grants for mentoring programs, classroom libraries, technology and much more.

Our board and volunteers believe in quality, public education for EVERY child; and we believe strong schools build strong communities.

Organized in 1993, we now routinely donate more than $1 million each year to the district. You can help. Together, we are Making Our Schools Better.

We have several CSA parents who are involved in the SBEF leadership, and our SBEF PTA Liaison is Jeannie Greiner. You can contact her with questions at [email protected].
