Week of October 25
From the PTA President...

It’s the last week of October!

Put away your pots and pans this Wednesday and pick up a Fajita Pete’s meal to support CSA! (And tell your friends to do the same.) Last month we earned almost $100 from our Spirit Night at Grub Burger. Every bit helps!

Do you have your costumes, jack-o-lanterns, and candy ready? Saturday is Halloween, and I hope everyone has a safe and fun time however you choose to celebrate.

Make plans to attend our next General PTA meeting on Thursday, November 12, via Zoom, at 7pm. Please register in advance using the Google form.

As always, please let me know if I can help in any way, and don’t forget about posting in the grade level Facebook groups if you have any questions or concerns that other parents can help with.

Speech and Debate Club
Mark Myers is hosting an outside-of-school speech and debate club for interested students. Students will have the opportunity to learn about and compete (virtually) in public speaking and acting events like humorous and dramatic interpretation, duet acting, poetry interpretation, and Lincoln-Douglas format debate. Due to the current situation this will not be a school-sponsored club this year. All meetings and competitions will be held safely via electronic formats. The club website is csaforensics.weebly.com. Meetings are Sunday afternoons at 4:00. Email [email protected] to be sent the Microsoft Teams link for the meeting.

Planning for the Future T-2-4 Series

Parent U programming provides insight on a range of educational topics along with direct access to district and community resources.

There have been several Parent U presentations this fall, and a few are still to come. Go here to register for upcoming presentations or to watch past presentations.

All the information regarding how your purchases can give back to CSA is on the PTA Website. Check it out!

Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) believes in student success. As the nonprofit organization that partners with Spring Branch ISD, we fund programs that enrich education for students across the district. Led by a volunteer board of community leaders, we raise funds through donations and community events. Thanks to a generous community, we give scholarships to a growing number of seniors each year, and we award grants for mentoring programs, classroom libraries, technology and much more.

Our board and volunteers believe in quality, public education for EVERY child; and we believe strong schools build strong communities.

Organized in 1993, we now routinely donate more than $1 million each year to the district. You can help. Together, we are Making Our Schools Better.

We have several CSA parents who are involved in the SBEF leadership, and our SBEF PTA Liaison is Jeannie Greiner. You can contact her with questions at [email protected].
